easy hair is bullshit. sorry for the language.

Most of the kickback about hair washing in the community is from the girls who believe being lazy and having an easy routine is the best because our hair is hard to deal with.

I don't understand this fixation on easy hair. Our skincare routines are far from simple, but we are used to them because they were ingrained from the start. We are all collectively frustrated with our hair, well most of us, and for sure it takes a lot to actually care for our hair, but why are the girls not understanding our overall desire is to actually change this. It should not be this difficult. There is obviously something wrong somewhere and the onus is on us to shift this awful feeling for the generation of afro women to come. We deserve to wear our flowing locks to school just like everyone else. Do you know how nice it feels for water to touch your hair daily? The hydration your hair receives is unmatched because this is literally what hydration is. Our hair has a weird relation with H20 because that shit leaves our hair so quick and long curls turn to soft squishy wool, that's the point you know your hair needs more water. So sisters please help me understand how they were convinced that not putting water on our hair daily was anyway beneficial to us? Even the wig girls can wash their hair if they could do their flat twists quickly.

The information, the tools and products needed to achieve a wash and wear hair lifestyle for Afro women should be in the hands of everyone one of us. To me, that is true empowerment. So that is the purpose of this blog, to simplify and spread this information till it becomes well known everywhere by Afro women that we can wash our hair daily and achieve our desired styles easily and we don't have to break our necks and back using 100 products and hours to achieve our desired look. The Good Lord has blessed us with versatality but we need to also honour the crown that grows out of head.
